From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.
Step into Your New Role
Kleinfelder is currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for roadway and utility projects in our Hartford, CT (Rocky Hill) office.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Interact professionally and cooperatively with the Owner, Contractor and Kleinfelder's design team to expeditiously address construction challenges.
- Lead on-site construction progress meetings attended by the Owner, Contractor and regulatory agency representatives.
- Prepare daily reports of construction progress.
- Participate in the review of contractor submittals and Requests for Information.
- Review contractor's monthly payment requests.
- Review and evaluate potential change orders and negotiate change order cost proposals.
- Coordinate facility testing and startup activities.
- Evaluate substantial and final completion.
- Live near or be willing to travel to our Hartford, CT (Rocky Hill) office and surrounding clients
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years successful past experience with similar responsibilities on multi-million dollar construction projects involving roadway and utilities.
Education: (Not required)
B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture; or equivalent experience and/or education
