Network Engineering Specialist

What we're seeking:
Frontier is in search of an Engineering Specialist to work with the Pole Contract Team. The team is responsible for managing over 500 contracts between Frontier and Power Partners/3rdParty Attachers. You will serve as the liaison between the external and internal business partners to ensure compliance with active contracts.
In this position, you will focus on expense savings, cost avoidance, revenue growth, and fostering strong relationships with our external business partners. The complex work our team does is fundamental to building Gigabit America.In this remote role, you will be expected to collaborate with peers as required but can work anywhere in the contiguous United States.
What you'll do:
  • Aid legal in negotiating agreements, pole disputes, lawsuits, discovery, litigation, and settlements.
  • Support Engineering and Construction teams on terms and conditions of agreements.
  • Single point of contact for pole contract compliance
  • Maintain current Bonds and Certificates of Insurance
  • Work closely with external business partners including Electric Utilities, Cooperatives, and Municipalities
  • Budget forecasting for annual pole/conduit Expense and Revenue
  • Validate and process pole Expense / Revenue invoices.
  • Validate and initiate pole/conduit billing for 3rdparty attachers
  • Manage pole audit/inventory cycles
  • Manage pole inspection programs as mandated by State Orders

  • Salary Range: $54,000 to $105,000
What background you should have:
  • OSP, Joint Use, and Telecom experience - preferred
  • Budget Management Experience
  • Experience with contract interpretation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Infinium, Varasset, GAP/FROGS, and Sitetracker
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
